Home Alone

With Gumby being out of town this weekend, I brought home massive amounts of work I need to get done and I'm not all that happy about having to work. So I am busy not working on it. I got up early with the dogs this morning and by 8:00 I had 3 expressos and 4 pieces of bacon in me. I was going to head down to The North Market around 9:00 but we had a nice downpour which I had to wait out. I wanted to get to the market early because they are having their Farmer's Market Festival today and I knew the place would be packed with suburbanites. I got there around 10:30 and the streets around the market were crammed full of cars with drivers trying to park right at the front door of the market. I guess if you are from Dublin, Ohio you are not physically able to park a short distance away and walk. How do I know they were from Dublin? A. The whole parking thing, B. "W" stickers. (assholes)

"Festival" days are good for the vendors and farmers, however I hate them. Too many people in the way. And a lot of people here in central Ohio are a bit on the large size. And let's not forget the baby strollers! I saw one that must be manufactured by Hummer. I could have fit into it with the kid with room to spare. "Get out of my way! Don't you people have a soccer game you need to get to????

There was a Hobbit there today that Gumby would have really like. 5'7"red tee-shirt (see above)

Yes we grow them big here.

I got my usual # 8 from Lac Viet Market, but people were really getting on my nerves by then and I got it take-away.

At the market I bought some locally grown grapes, which are so good. I got a large bag of poblano peppers which I will roast then freeze for later use. I got a dozen eggs from Gatterdam Eggs. I'm going to make Ananas (pineapple) Gelato.

When I got home I had porn waiting for me in the mailbox!!

Wow this is my 100th post.

Congratulations on your hundredth!

So, what's for dinner? Rib-eye, porterhouse, filet or some other type of delectable beef dish?

When Gumby is away you must have a "Beefapalooza"!

Oh wow, this looks like a real blast! We have something similar in Kent, but I've never been. I have a feeling it's considerably smaller. Still, you've inspired me to give it a chance sometime, get up early on a Saturday morning (ugh!) and go check it out.

We also have the West Side Market in Cleveland - a permanent structure with vendors outside selling fresh produce, and inside selling meats, baked goods, peirogies, candies, coffees, etc... You'd be in heaven!

And - funny - we seem to grow them just as big (or bigger!) up here in NE Ohio! We were at (insert big evil store that people hate, name starts with a W) here today and I watched this extremely oversized lady walk in just fine (aside from the massive rolls hanging off've her), plop herself down in one of those in-store go-carts/Hoverounds, and get ready to go shopping. Ya know, if you'd WALK through out the store, you could maybe start shedding a few!

Anyhow - the market trip looked like a blast!
